The Colusa Circle Merchants Association (CCMA) is a 510(c)(3) non-profit organization devoted to sustainably promoting local businesses and building community through sponsoring annual events, organizing public outreach, and serving as a resource to residents and business owners within the Colusa Circle neighborhood.


All membership levels within the CCMA will include a feature on the CCMA website in the business directory section, a feature in a community business newsletter (format and frequency TBD based on budget + interest), events promotion on CCMA calendar, regular social media promotional posts, and sponsorship opportunities/listings in CCMA specific events.


CCMA membership is open to any current business operator or employee of the Colusa Circle area that supports CCMA’s mission.

  • Founding Membership - $300 annual dues for 3 years. Dues must be paid for the first three consecutive years (2018-2021) to establish founding membership status. Businesses or individuals at this level will be listed as founding members in historical documents in perpetuity, but after 2021, must maintain an applicable level of membership status (individual, business or sustaining) to continue receiving yearly membership benefits.

  • Sustaining membership - $200 annual dues. Establishes membership for commercial building owners/landlords or other business owners as desired.

  • Business membership - $100 annual dues. Establishes membership status for merchants (with employees and/ or storefronts).

  • Institutional Membership - $100 annual dues. Establishes membership for institutions, including partnerships, associations, corporations, educational and other not-for- profit corporations, and their divisions and departments.

  • Individual membership - $75 annual dues. Establishes membership status for sole proprietors without employees or a storefront, but who operate their business in or in close proximity to the Colusa Circle Business district.


As a non profit organization, the CCMA is entirely volunteer-run. This means that in addition to your membership, we welcome (and need) your help! Please consider getting involved with one of the committees below:

  • Events Committee: Led by the First Vice President. Members of this committee help support the First Vice President in logistical planning of yearly Colusa Circle events, including but not limited to the Halloween Harvest Celebration and Holiday Tree lighting, as well as additional events as planned.

  • Marketing + Communications Committee: Led by the Second Vice President. Members of this committee help support the Second Vice President in executing marketing, communications and promotion of yearly events and other miscellaneous CCMA projects.

  • Membership Committee: Led by the President. Members of this committee help support the President in member recruiting and retention and member specific/internal meetings and events.

  • Community Outreach Committee: Led by the Secretary and Second Vice President. Members of this committee help support the Second Vice President and Secretary in local community outreach with Colusa Circle neighbors and friends as needed.

  • Fundraising Committee: Led by the Treasurer and President. Members of this committee help support the Treasurer and President in fundraising efforts for Colusa Circle community improvement projects and other initiatives as voted on by the board and membership.

Member Meetings

The CCMA Board of Directors meets quarterly and all members are invited to attend. The 2020 meeting dates are as follows:

Q1: January 30th 11-1pm

Q2: April 30th 1-3pm 

Q3: August 27th 11-1pm 

Q4: December 10th 1-3pm
